BREAKING NEWS FOR 2008
JAKE MEYER TO START 2008 RACES

- At the age of 14, Jake Meyer set himself the challenge of becoming the youngest person to climb the 7 Summits; the highest mountain on each continent. On the 4th June 2005 at the age of 21, he stood on the summit of Mt Everest, thus becoming the youngest Briton to climb Everest, as well as the youngest man in the world to complete the 7 Summits. We are delighted that he has agreed to start the 2008 races!
- This year will see brand new bunting throughout the town thanks to the sponsorship from the Snooty Fox. In addition, the PA has been replaced with a brand new system which should ensure that Letser's commentary will be even louder! New race bibs will also be on display this year - teams will now be identified by their unique colour.

- The Snooty Fox Hotel has commissioned a brand new beer to be called 'Woolsack Runner'. 10p from every pint sold throughout the year will be donated to the Woolsack charity fund. The beer is to be brewed by the Wickwar Brewing Company (brewers of 'Cotswold Way). We all look forward to increasing our charitable donations in 2008...!! As soon as the pump artwork is finished we will post it here.
- The Snooty Fox Hotel has very generously sponsored the 2008 event and is providing an array of fantastic auction prizes. Their website is - www.snooty-fox.co.uk. The Snooty Fox is a Tetbury landmark, right in the centre of town - you can't miss it!
- The Woolsack Auction will be held on the evening of Saturday 24th May at the Football Club. There will be a Hog Roast to sustain you through the bidding! More details (including the list of auction prizes) soon.... you won't want to miss it.
